Strangelove is a core developer and implementer within the Cosmos ecosystem. Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the automation and maintenance of Strangelove’s cloud infrastructure deployments
- Use Infrastructure-as-Code to minimize manual labor and overhead for scaled deployments
- Integrate processes into CI/CD pipelines
- Develop and deploy monitoring systems and alert pipelines
- Serve in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents
- Continually improve security and follow best practices to minimize attack surfaces across our cloud infrastructure
- Improve the reliability, code-quality, and performance of our automation
- Mentor other engineers and support the growth and health of the team
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes
- 3+ years of experience deploying Infrastructure-as-Code; Terraform is preferred; Cloud Formation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet experience are also helpful
- Experience with continuous deployment of containerized microservices
- Experience creating optimized build pipelines
- Skilled with Grafana and Prometheus for visualization and alerts
- Mastery of shell scripting (bash, zsh, csh, sh, etc.)
- Robust understanding of network architecture, including firewalls, VPC peering, TLS, network security, and DNS
- Familiarity with maintaining and scaling production databases
- Working knowledge of computer science concepts, i.e. operating systems, networking, reliability
- Proficient in spoken and written English
Nice to Have
- Experience with Golang, Rust or other server-side languages
- Experience with a scripting language like Javascript or Python
- High-level understanding of how blockchains work (consensus, transactions, blocks, etc.)
- Blockchain experience, for example, writing smart contracts with Solidity, CosmWasm, or building blockchains with Cosmos SDK
- Experience authoring Docker files or other containerization solutions
- Experience with modern software deployment practices
- Experience with Hardware Security Modules or other signing mechanisms for cryptography
