Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the automation and maintenance of Strangelove’s cloud infrastructure deployments
  • Use Infrastructure-as-Code to minimize manual labor and overhead for scaled deployments
  • Integrate processes into CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop and deploy monitoring systems and alert pipelines
  • Serve in the on-call rotation and respond to incidents
  • Continually improve security and follow best practices to minimize attack surfaces across our cloud infrastructure
  • Improve the reliability, code-quality, and performance of our automation
  • Mentor other engineers and support the growth and health of the team

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes
  • 3+ years of experience deploying Infrastructure-as-Code; Terraform is preferred; Cloud Formation, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet experience are also helpful
  • Experience with continuous deployment of containerized microservices
  • Experience creating optimized build pipelines
  • Skilled with Grafana and Prometheus for visualization and alerts
  • Mastery of shell scripting (bash, zsh, csh, sh, etc.)
  • Robust understanding of network architecture, including firewalls, VPC peering, TLS, network security, and DNS
  • Familiarity with maintaining and scaling production databases
  • Working knowledge of computer science concepts, i.e. operating systems, networking, reliability
  • Proficient in spoken and written English

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Golang, Rust or other server-side languages
  • Experience with a scripting language like Javascript or Python
  • High-level understanding of how blockchains work (consensus, transactions, blocks, etc.)
  • Blockchain experience, for example, writing smart contracts with Solidity, CosmWasm, or building blockchains with Cosmos SDK
  • Experience authoring Docker files or other containerization solutions
  • Experience with modern software deployment practices
  • Experience with Hardware Security Modules or other signing mechanisms for cryptography
