This position is 100% remote, based in Mexico, and will report to the Accounting Lead for LATAM.

As the Finance Intern you will...

  • Support the accountant performing all tasks associated with the accounts payable and accounting.
  • Serve as the gatekeeper for expense reporting, reviewing all expense reports to ensure they are complete, accurate and within basic compliance guidelines.
  • Support the Procurement ERP duties and assistance to internal users (Unable to process follow-up).
  • Prepare Accounting information for reporting in support to Tribal’s efforts in investing efficiently.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end  accounting close efforts, including completeness of accounts payable and preparation of monthly expense and prepaid reconciliations
  • Assist with streamlining systems and reporting tools to ensure efficient and accurate recording and proper classification and timing of expenditures.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity.
  • Learning how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company or clients.

Who You Are

Strong verbal and written communication skills (English & Spanish).Must be actively working towards a Bachelor’s in Accounting.Satisfactory completion of introductory accounting courses and a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles.Aptitude for math, logical reasoning, proficiency with excel, and a willing-to-learn attitude.Motivation and a strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.Enthusiastic, positive, friendly, and has a great sense of humor!
