Evmos is the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Hub on Cosmos and enables developers to launch apps that run smart contracts across any number of EVM and Cosmos-based blockchains. It makes that process as simple and seamless as possible by allowing developers to continue creating apps in programming languages they’re already accustomed to in the Ethereum ecosystem such as Solidity or Vyper.

Operations at Evmos is a truly cross-functional role that reaches across multiple teams including Finance, BizDev, People Operations, and Legal. Our objective or “North Star” is the alignment of our team on vision strategic intent and roadmap, and to ensure the efficient execution of daily tasks and activities across all Evmos teams.

About the role

We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Operations Team. In this role, you will be a major contributor to running daily operations across our entities. You work closely with Evmos Operations colleagues and cross-functional team members from People Operations, Business Development, Finance, and Engineering. You will solve Business, People and Legal challenges and support the executive team of Evmos by engaging in special, high velocity projects that will range across all functional areas of the company, while making sure that our day-to-day operations run smoothly.

Candidates, who are fascinated with all aspects of running Operations in a tech startup, who are solution-oriented, structured, numbers-driven and have excellent written and verbal communication skills will get the opportunity to solve some of the most exciting crypto-specific operational challenges of a company in a high-growth phase. 

The ideal candidate previously worked in a Tech Startup, Strategy Consulting or Investment Banking as an Analyst, in a law firm as a lawyer that challenged them to work in a fast-paced, agile and distributed team environment, who had to bring parties together for shared benefit and can work autonomously creating their own goals and desired outcomes for the role.

What you'll be doing

• Establish and take ownership of new Operations processes, especially in People Operations, Community Engagement, Events, Legal
• Assist Operations Leadership with special projects across Legal, Finance, Events- and People-Ops-related functions
• Run external supplier negotiations (e.g. SaaS companies) for Evmos entities
• Representation of Evmos at conferences, in our digital channels and communities
• Organise Berlin-based hackathons, conferences or other events to engage with the Developer Community
• Define strategic priorities for yourself and the rest of the team to bring more value to the Evmos ecosystem
